Zak was delighted to be in attendance at the Harrow East Conservative Association's annual Summer Luncheon in Stanmore on Sunday 21 July 2024.
The event was a celebratory and enjoyable one, bringing together a number of local councillors, activists and residents to reflect on recent political developments and look into the future.
The keynote speaker was The Rt Hon Sir Oliver Dowden MP, the MP for nearby Hertsmere and Deputy Leader of the Opposition. Mr Dowden held a number of key roles in government recently, including Deputy Prime Minister, Minister for the Cabinet Office and Secretary of State for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport, and was able to use his experiences here to reflect on his time in government, and what the future might hold.
The event also gave Bob Blackman MP, the newly-re-elected MP for Harrow East, an opportunity to speak and reflect on his significant victory, as well as to comment on what is to come looking forward. This was a vibrant and positive event and a pleasure to attend.
