On Thursday 12 September, Zak attended a ceremony to mark the ground breaking for the redevelopment of Stanmore College.
The event marked the culmination of the planning stages of this project, and the beginning of the 3 year construction phase that will see the facility dramatically redeveloped and improved, to the benefit of the local community and indeed cohorts of future students.
The ceremony was addressed by the Principal of Stanmore College, Annette Cast, Chairman of the Governors of Stanmore College, Gideon Schulman, the Mayor of Harrow, Cllr Salim Chowdhury, and representatives from the Department for Education and Bouygues.
This redevelopment was only possible after lobbying from the local Stanmore councillors and Bob Blackman MP secured over £50 million from the last government.
